Week of 7/12/2010 - Photo of the Week
This weeks image was shot in 2008 while on a trip into 60 Lakes Basin in Kings Canyon. We intered the Sierra via Kearsarge Pass, our first day brought us to a campsite below Glen Pass. Sunset rendered some nice alpenglow to a tarn just below the pass, a short painful sprint to get to the best location for shooting brought some nice results. The next morning we were over the pass and on to 60 Lakes Basin. It's no wonder why it was named with all the lakes around, we had some wonderful views of Mt Clarence King and Mt Cotter and Fin Dome. Rae Lakes was our final destination for our trip, and then back out over Glen and Kearsarge Passes.
